  • Almonds
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Optional : Garlic Powder, Hot Pepper Flakes, Basil, or your favorite spices!

Directions

  1. In food processor or blender (my favorite blender) or bowl*, mix equal amounts of lemon juice and olive oil
  2. Add few cloves of garlic and a couple pinches of almonds.
  3. Salt and Pepper to taste.
  4. Additional seasonings to taste.
  5. Blend until fine to medium granularity – or even smooth if you prefer.

Do the almonds just add body? Do they smooth out well? The rest sounds good, I’m just curious what the almonds do.

      Hi Kim,
Yes the almonds add body, sort of making it a little like a pesto type sauce. You could certainly blend it into puree smoothness and it will be thickened by doing that. I like it a little chunky/granular.

Good luck with “bringing Chuck home!”
