Scared

Fear rules our lives in so many ways and is responsible for so much of our internal misery. When confronted with fear our reaction is either to control the situation or to escape the situation. Both of these are unsatisfactory in the long run. We can’t control everything, and if we are always running, we never fully live and enjoy life. So what is the solution to fear? Continue Reading →

The Comedian’s Guide for Living Life to its Fullest

Laughing out loud

This is a guest post by Brook Bridge
At some point, and probably for everybody, we all have that sense that we aren’t doing anything worthwhile. We might get a promotion at work, spend time with our friends, make dinner, see a movie, have hobbies, and yet? It still feels as if something is missing.

My own epiphany that I’d been gliding through life without really experiencing came after I lost someone I really cared about. Suddenly, when the idea of my own mortality was impossible to ignore, I realized I needed to make my life better. If you can manage your energy, you can control the quality of your life!

So let’s take a look at how to see past the veil of chronic tiredness and move on to a better life!

I hope these stories inspire you to follow your dream even if it seems impossible.

What Is Your Story?

Creative Commons License photo credit: gemma maree

Here’s what I mean by “What is your story?” Have you ever noticed that each person you know has a certain theme or story that they are always telling in one form or another? For instance, you may have a friend who is always short on cash. Her story might be “I never have enough money.”

Or maybe you have a friend who always tells the story of the guy who cheated on her.  Her story: “Men always cheat (on me.)” Or maybe you know someone else whose story is more broad-based where somehow he is always the victim of some transgression. We are often blind to our own stories.

So what is your story and more importantly is it serving you well? Could it be that your story holds the key to living the life you really want? Let’s explore….
