Thank you for sharing these tips, they are really useful. I also like tips from dumblittleman, but not always have time to read them.

Maybe it's not in time, but how was your travel?

@Monica - I have to agree with you that if it is at all possible to get a separate seat for children. It's so stressful otherwise! Probably for the child too.

One might feel comfortable if her child is sitting comfortably in their seat instead of on your lap. Infants are fairly easy to hold, but once your child becomes mobile their patience for sitting still runs out very quickly. If you can't hold them for the length of your flight without your child throwing a fit at home, what are you going to do at 30,000 feet? Our children should fly in their seat, not in our lap!

We're not far off from adding to our family so this was an excellent read for me. With our first child we made sure she ate solid meals each morning from cereal to eggs and she's lean and active as she approaches 5. We plan on following the same course with the next one.

Ok. So, when I saw the picture related to this post I thought, oh no, an article on breast feeding. My bad. So glad I took the time to ready. I never, never, leave the house without eating breakfast and thankfully, I have passed that habit to my children (who are mostly grown.)

Regarding breakfast and obesity. I think it's because people who eat breakfast are less likely to be hungry during the rest of the day and are, therefore, less likely to overeat.

Skipping the first meal of the day increases the chances of becoming obese, developing diabetes or even having a heart attack. People who eat whole-grain cereals every morning are among those most likely to see the health benefits.

Between 10 and 30 percent of teens and adults skip breakfast, and that skipping breakfast is most prevalent among girls between the ages of 13 and 17. This is quite alarming when you see the evidence that skipping breakfast has been associated with decreased concentration in school and increased absenteeism.

Jay breakfast is truly the most important meal especially for kids. What we're now learning though is that protein is essential in the morning to allow kids to sustain energy throughout the day.

I'm one of those people who don't make breakfast a habit. First of all, I'm always in a hurry to go to work. I sleep late and have to beat the morning traffic. The smoothies look delicious but until I have someone who can make them for me, I doubt I can enjoy them in the mornings.
