Thanks for the post. I've been slammed lately and haven't thought too much about trying to relieve some stress or the causes of the stress. I think you've touched on many of them! I've never thought about most of these until now and laughed through the entire article. Thanks for the tips

@Quint - thanks. Glad to have you share your thoughts!

@Dr. Jim - I know! Speeding around is so dangerous and so stressful.

@Liz - thank you for contributing your thoughts! It's not easy to slow down with so many things pushing us to go fast!

@Laura - yes. when we're young we don't feel the effects of stress as much as when we start to get a little older. It's good to start the slow habits early!

Rushing has become part of our culture, unfortunately. We've forgotten how to slow down and really experience life, even though it's killing us with stress-related conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease, and more.

I used to live my life all stressed out all the time, without any time to relax. I've since learned to slow down and take on just what I can handle, but make sure I have time to take care of myself. I'm alot happier now, and I really do love my lifestyle now. I have more time to focus on the things that are important to me, and enjoy all of it along the way.

And I agree with Quint.. I think too many people feel like it is "normal" to live their lives all stressed out all the time and that they aren't accomplishing enough otherwise. Life is much more rewarding if you slow down a bit, in my opinion. Thanks for your post.

Excellent post. I will have to send that to a few friends (and colleagues).

I can accept that some people run on "island time" and they are late, but why not just get organised and be on time?

I'm shocked too that some colleagues will say, "oh it's ok, I will just speed there." Speeding isn't a solution for poor work/life time management choices.

Thanks for the reminder that slowing down can move us closer to real success.
