Cleary stumbling upon this happened to be on what I thought happend to be a low priority goal. It turnes out learning is a number one priority.

I do agree that reading unneccesary mail will eat up valuable time.

Do be true to self be committed doing that enables you to focus on aspirations.

In terms of goal settings I found Napoleon Hill's book Think and Grow Rich to most inspiring. I've put my goals in order after reading it.

Great article on goals. Another way is to categorize and timeline your goals. You know that if time managements (as above) is an issue for you, your 3 goals for the day will help you to prioritize your working day. Think of the time wasted on going through unnecessary emails, having chats at the water machine etc.

As a hypnotherapist my pet subject is "goal setting". I see clients who, for example, want to stop smoking or fear of flying, and for them their goal is to dwell on the negative impact of their problem. We turn this around and a new goal is set of how they want to feel and be and the benefit this will have.

So goals can be useful in any guise. And yes, I enjoy setting goals and reviewing them. Remember what the mind can believe the mind can achieve.
