Like the post... Particularly about the caffine, which can be very bad and can dehydrate. Yoga is a good excercise to correct posture and develop relaxation and fitness.

(Note To Christians) Hatha Yoga: In Hinduism there are many different forms of "Yoga" which are paths of practice and Hatha Yoga is one of many that leads the aspirant to the ultimate goal of union with divinity (gods) and the unity of all of Creation.

Many erroneously believe they can practice yoga postures, breathing, and focusing techniques devoid of yoga's spirituality, not realizing that yoga is an inherent part of Hindu philosophy which teaches man and nature are one with divinity.

Today, yoga is experiencing a worldwide renaissance and in America has more than 70,000 yoga teachers working in 20,000 locations. Although viewed primarily as fitness instructors, *these trainers are in reality the leading missionaries of eastern religion* in the west. The twenty-seven billion dollar a year yoga industry is marketed to Christians, students, athletes, businessmen, pregnant women and senior citizens promising solutions for stress reduction, concentration problems, and issues of self confidence.

Hatha Yoga is in reality a pagan import from the East, yoga has now become mainstream in the church through "Christ-centered yoga classes" designed to help improve spirituality and experience "the presence of God". But PLEASE BEWARE as yoga's mysticism is NOT compatible with historic Christianity no matter how it is packaged! Rev. James R. Hanratty

I learned to meditate 23 years ago, now i know that the quality of my sleep depends on how regular i am with my meditation. I meditate twice a day and even though, the morning meditation is the one i enjoy the most, the afternoon meditation is the one that help me get rid of the tensions of the day and help me sleep better.
The meditation technique i use is TM (Transcendental Meditation, just mention it in case you are looking for a good technique, this one in particular has being scientifically validated.
I not only get a lot of energy out of this practice.

Regards

Indeed it is a great article and clearly shows the time was invested into producing it. I am sure we can ignore some spelling mistakes though :-)

You have raised a very good point by including smoking in this list. Quit smoking and you get a reasonable amount of energry back, you will then be able to hold your breath for long time and there would be no coughing etc.

Some interesting tipps. For me meditation or a power nap works best, after 30 minutes of meditation I have a lot more energy. And the more I do it, the easier it is to relax

I love to listen to a motivational audio program in the a.m. When I do, my level of energy is obviously greater than when I just get up, get ready, and go to work.

@Joe Mangrove - Good for you! Stick with it. Anything that involves deep breathing is an excellent substitute for smoking : stretching, exercise, purposeful deep breathing, etc. Thanks for commenting!

I recently quit smoking. This hands down will kickstart your body into giving you more energy. Just fight hard the first three days, while being smoke free, and then it will only get easier from there. I also try to cut out caffeine, which helps, but excercise is the second best way to get energy. It is so easy to make excuses, but if you just walk for a mile or two at least every other day, you will see drastic results.

Some great tips. I think getting enough sleep (8 hours at least) plays a huge role in energy levels. Another thing that you could add to the list is keeping blood sugar levels stable by eating the right foods. Blood sugar levels play a huge role on our energy levels.

Thanks for the post!

I feel like I'm agreeing with everything you said except one thing... Inducing the bodies endorphins to become active is WRONG. Getting high is always wrong, no matter what, even if God put it there. Ok, I'm just joking... I like what you said! This seems like very good advice, so I will let the digging commence!
