Hi Mike:

Did you know that you can achieve much greatness and success now better than before?

The first positive achievement you have created in your life is recognizing the stage you're in this rut.

Now comes the questions that will allow you focus and sustain your business or just let it slip:

Do you want to continue doing your business?

Is your business still an important life-motivating driver?

Or do you think it's time to close that chapter?

Depending on your true feelings you will be able to see clearly what lies ahead.

I do agree that you must take a break, but also a mental break, stop thinking or analyzing the situation so your mind rests a while and then activate your creative thinking process to deliver all possible scenarios you can have.

Affirmations is the key to have a champion mindset that will allow you to get out of this rut.Start repeating to yourself, " I can get out of this rut, I AM capable of achieving greatness, I AM abundance and prosperity", and let the mind work its wonders unto you.

You already know the business works,so now it's time to run it on manual-pilot which you also know how to do it.

Congratulations, you seem like an excellent father. Keep spreading that family love.

I wish you the best and remember..........

YOU CAN DO IT!

Hi Mike, Thank you for sharing. I know what it is like to feel that way too. I don't know much about your situation, but a couple things come to mind.
First it sounds like you could use a mini-break to rejuvenate. Even if it were for just a day, where you could get some rest and have quiet time to allow yourself to dream about your future. Being tired makes it hard to get out of the rut. Getting a break is so important.

The second thing I've noticed in myself is that when I am not working on something that I really love, then that saps my energy. Or if I am ignoring my true dreams, that saps my energy. Maybe there is something else you want to do. You could pick up one of Barbara Sher's books (she has many) which deal with choosing the career of your dreams.

Number three is physical activity can give you energy. Say walking or jogging. They are great times to think things out.

And the last thing that always helps me when I'm "stuck" is helping others who are less fortunate, such as visiting a nursing home or some type of volunteer work. It transforms your mind, gives you a new perspective on things. You'll turn things around! I wish you all the best!

I have been in a rut for some time and I can not seem to get out. I have a business that was very profitable just 5 short years ago, but it is now slipping away. Funny thing, I don't seem to really care. I have spent the last 8 years caring for my kids and have had the business on autopilot. Since then, many of the business owners that came along after me have gone on to become multi-millionaires while I still sit here trying to "figure it all out". I feel toasted. Burnt. I have given all I can give to my kids/family and I just want to rest. I would love to maintain a successful business, but being stuck in this rut/downward sprial, I just can't see it happening. Sorry for the rambling.
